But ransomware, insider threats, and supply-chain attacks have proven that prevention alone isn't enough: eventually, something gets through. Cyber resilience is the broader discipline of ensuring an organization can keep operating — or recover fast — when prevention fails. In this talk, we'll unpack the difference between security and resilience, walk through the core pillars of a resilient architecture (identify, protect, detect, respond, recover), and look at how these concepts map onto real-world AWS environments using native and open-source tooling.
